Independiente Rivadavia, the Mendocino club, has become one of the great sensations of Argentine football, after winning the 2025 Copa Argentina and qualifying for the 2026 Copa Libertadores. Since its promotion to the top division in October 2023, the club has experienced a financial growth of 624%, becoming the team with the greatest financial leap among the 30 teams that make up the First Division. Sebastián Villa, the captain and reference of the team, remains the most valuable player in the squad, with a record of 11 goals and 23 assists in 77 matches.
